Photos: S2 defeat Gonzaga in preseason scrimmage, 2-0

S2 remain undefeated in preseason scrimmages.

Andy Craven and Pablo Rossi scored in the first half to give Seattle Sounders 2 a 2-0 lead over Gonzaga. The second half team didn't score, but they kept it to zero.

The two goals could not have been much more different from each other. Craven got his by pouncing on a loose ball in the 6 yard box and burying it from point blank range.

Rossi scored his from about 35 or 40 yards further away. It was unbelievable. Seriously. Those who were there will likely remember that shot for the rest of their lives. Although none more so than the Gonzaga 'keeper, who sat on the turf seemingly dumbfounded for about a minute after the ball blasted past him. Who can blame him!

Whether or not Rossi has the skills, strength, and maturity to make it with the first team is still to be determined. But one thing is for sure, against college-level opponents he is definitely living up to the hype garnered from his highlight reel.
