How the English explain MLS

It should come as a surprise to virtually no one that outside of North America -- and even to a degree inside it -- there's only a passing knowledge of MLS. Well done -- and frankly pretty fair -- this video from the Guardian puts that into a bit of perspective.

While some of this stuff may rub some of our more sensitive readers wrong, that it even exists should probably be seen as a positive. Even after David Beckham joined MLS and was followed by the likes of Robbie Keane, our league has barely registered on the radar of many English football fans. But with SkySports and EuroSport both signing deals with MLS, our games are at least available there and surely of growing interest.

While MLS surely won't replace anyone's favorite EPL team, it could prove to be some fun night-time watching. So, welcome!
