Episode 172: Sounders squash a Revolution, CBA talk with Jeff Carlisle

This week we discuss the opening of the 2015 season and review how the CBA deal got done with ESPN's Jeff Carlisle.

Jennifer Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Because we're magical and amazing, a CBA deal got done in the wake of last week's episode being released! With that out of the way, the MLS season started this weekend and the Seattle Sounders kicked things off with a splendid 3-0 win over the New England Revolution. We discuss the match and enjoy the benefits of having Clint Dempsey and Obafemi Martins together during the preseason.

We're also joined by ESPN's Jeff Carlisle for some inside info on how the CBA deal got done and some of the details of the deal itself. We also talk about the first weekend of the season and look ahead a little bit to the Earthquakes match. There's listener questions to be answered and tickets to a Sounders match to giveaway!
