Seattle Sounders FC stopped FC Dallas' last unbeaten streak to start a season. Can they do it again? It will take performances by a young and deep bench in order to make it happen. Sigi Schmid and Oscar Pareja are both down significant parts of their team as MLS plays through the international break.
Referee: Kevin Stott - MLS Career: 261 games; FC/gm: 25.5; Y/gm: 3.3; R: 63; pens: 65
AR1 (bench): Craig Lowry; AR2 (opposite): Brian Poeschel; 4th: Kevin Terry Jr.
INTERNATIONAL ABSENCES: DAL: Kyle Bekker (CAN; vs GUA 3/27, vs PUR 3/30); Moisés Hernández (GUA; vs CAN 3/27, vs SLV 3/31); Je-Vaughn Watson (JAM; vs VEN 3/27, vs CUB 3/30); Blas Pérez (PAN; vs TRI 3/27, vs CRC 3/31) | SEA: Marco Pappa (GUA; vs CAN 3/27, vs SLV 3/31)
INJURIES: DAL: Coy Craft (out, left shoulder surgery); Stephen Keel (out, right foot surgery); Dan Kennedy (out, back spasms); Michael Barrios (foot) | SEA: Osvaldo Alonso (out, right groin); Clint Dempsey (out, hamstring strain); Tyrone Mears (slight hamstring tear)
What to Watch:
- Who starts? Everything else comes from this, but without Dempsey, Pappa, Alonso and maybe Mears/Marshall the lineup is hollow.
- Too Many Heads - Obafemi Martins and Lamar Neagle still exist, so Seattle's hydra should be able to do some damage.
- No fouls within 30 - Michel also still exists. Keep him out of range.
