This morning the U.S. Men's National Team takes on Switzerland from Stadion Letzigrund, Zurich, Switzerland. This is the second of five warm-up matches before the Gold Cup this summer. The USMNT fell victim to a Nicklas Bendtner hattrick on Wednesday and lost 3-2 against Denmark in Denmark. After Switzerland the USMNT will play Mexico on Tax Day in San Antonio before playing at Netherlands and Germany on June 5th and 10th.
With Clint Dempsey away with a hamstring issue, Michael Bradley has donned the armband for the first time. The presumed next full time captain has fond memories of Switzerland having scored his first ever international goal on October 17th, 2007 in a 1-0 win over the Swiss in Switzerland.
Jordan Morris was called up from US U23 camp when it was revealed that Aron Johannsson was unavailable due to a toe infection. The 20 year old Sounders Academy graduate has a real chance of earning his second full national team camp with the absence of Dempsey and Johannsson.
DeAndre Yedlin did not get the start in Denmark, but appeared as a substitute in the 67th minute. Yedlin might be in line to start this match as Timothy Chandler manned the right back spot to an indifferent review against Denmark, if not expect a substitute appearance.

What To Watch:
- Switzerland's Xherdan Shaqiri has moved from Bayern Munich to Inter Milan and continues to be the linchpin of the Swiss attack. Switzerland was one of the eight teams seeded in pot A in the last World Cup draw and are currently the 12th ranked team in FIFA's rankings. Stopping Shaqiri will be key to the USMNT defense.
- Switzerland's middle three versus USMNT's two man midfield. Denmark mostly controlled the middle of the field against a starting two of Michael Bradley and Alejandro Bedoya on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see how/if Klinsmann adjusts his midfield to compete with a three man midfield. One option would be for Alejandro Bedoya to start as a Right Wing with instructions to pinch in and help anytime the two center midfielders start to get overrun. In order to keep some width, Klinsmann would have to start a Right Back that could provide width and get up and down the wing. Sounds like a perfect spot for a certain Sounders Academy Alumni?
- Jurgen Klinsmann. Rumors are again swirling about unrest in the USMNT camp with the manager. There has not been a Colorado moment yet with an article in a national outlet, but Thomas Rongen went on Soccer Morning and voiced some very serious questions about Jurgen Klinsmann in a public forum.
