Clint Dempsey gives Sounders lead on ugly/beautiful goal

No one has scored more in the Seattle Sounders-Portland Timbers series that Clint Dempsey. So it was only natural he scored the opener on Sunday.

There was nothing pretty about the goal, not the long throw by Dylan Remick, not the shot from Andy Rose and certainly not the botched handling of the save by Adam Kawarasey, but Dempsey earned it by chasing the play down and being in the right place. It was his sixth goal of the series and the fourth straight time he's scored against the Timbers.
