The Seattle Sounders defense was in question going into the season (especially at centerback), but Sigi Schmid said he wanted to give them seven games to figure it out. The seven games has resulted in a 4-2-1 record with a combined five goals allowed.

Seattle Sounders FC 2 kept their USL Team of the Week streak alive. This week's player is defender Nick Miele. S2 is back home this Friday against Orange County Blues FC.

When the Montreal Impact and Club América take to the field tonight they will be doing so in front of a record crowd. The Impact sold an additional 2,000 tickets Monday, and Wednesday night's CONCACAF Champions League final attendance should create a new record for professional soccer in Canada.

The U. S. Paralympic team is preparing for the 2015 Cerebal Palsy Football World Championships June 16-28 in England. One player hoping to make the final roster is Robert McChrystal from Boise, Idaho.

The play-in games are complete, and Harpo FC is in the mix. U.S. Open Cup first round games start May 13. Kitsap Pumas will play FC Tacoma 253, with the winner taking on Seattle Sounders FC 2.
