Major Link Soccer: NASL to Hartford

Apparently MLS and USL Pro aren't the only leagues that can expand.

A former Sounders U-23 Player, Aodhan Quinn, has signed another professional contract. The attacking midfielder will be taking his talents to Louisville City FC.

It appears as if Clint Dempsey was indeed offside for his second goal against Columbus. Take a look at Simon Borg's opinion here, or read up on the reasoning behind the play here.

You probably weren't present at the GeekWire Awards last Thursday, but that doesn't mean you have to miss out on their "info"graphic depicting Seattle's future.

Yesterday we showed you the Red Bulls supporters' tifo for the NY derby game, but it turns out that there was another supporters group present at the match. Unfortunately "present" is one of the only adjectives you could apply to the Third Rail's supporting game- seeing as they didn't even make a tifo for the derby.

The trains to Red Bull Arena are confusing. One NYCFC supporter accidentally took the wrong train home from the game and somehow became a Philadelphia Union fan.

But enough about that New York rivalry, how would you like to hear about a new one? The NASL is rumored to be expanding to Hartford, Connecticut, which could mean a new rival for the Cosmos.

MLS Atlanta still remains without an official name, but according to the club's owner (who's last name is, ironically, Blank), we could be hearing an announcement as soon as July.

Dwayne De Rosario is retiring, which means now is a good time to take a look back at his prolific goalscoring career. Our sister blog Walking the Red took a look at what made De Rosario one of Canada's best and most iconic players.

It may be hard to believe, but Sporting Kansas City defender Erik Palmer-Brown is only graduating from high school this year. Palmer-Brown plans to dedicate almost all of his new found free time to his training.

In other Sporting Kansas City news, Graham Zusi has suffered a concussion. SKC head coach Peter Vermes did not let on about the midfielder's condition, saying he is "day-to-day." Prepare your fantasy teams.

MLS's Eastern Conference has historically been worse than its western conference, and from the games played so far this year, it looks like that trend is going to hold.

Before Toronto FC's game last Sunday, a female reporter had an interview disrupted by sexist comments from a fan. The reporter quickly turned the mic on the fan, asking him why he thought being so disrespectful was funny.

In an interview with, Jurgen Kilinsmann discussed his time in charge of the USMNT, as well as both some challenges he's experienced at the helm and some challenges he anticipates going forward.

The National Soccer Hall of Fame has been without a home since 2010 when it had to shut down due to lack of funding, but it looks like it could be reinstated (this time in the Poconos) sometime soon.

Robbie Keane doesn't have a lot going for him. He plays for the Galaxy. But he may have just turned that huge negative into a positive. Likely influenced by teammate Robbie Rogers, Keane wrote an open letter to Dublin-based newspaper Sunday World urging his fellow Irishmen to vote in favor of a referendum for marriage equality.

Manchester United has had a tough couple of years, and a lot of that had to do with long-time coach Sir Alex Ferguson retiring. But there's a lot more to the story than just that, as Fusion explains.

For a lot of people, it's easy to get caught up in just one sport. But broadening your horizons can show you some common beauty, or even give you outside knowledge that you can take back to your sport of choice. A writer at Grantland noticed some similarities between basketball and soccer, especially regarding a few specific players.

Some people take criticism better than others. Crystal Palace's Yannick Bolasie had a water bottle thrown at him from the stands, which he decided to roundhouse kick:
