Your chance to meet Zach Scott: Fund Raiser

Zach and Steven Hauschka combine their powers to support the YMCA in West Seattle, 50 "Superfans" will party with Mr. Sounder himself.

Zach Scott is known for many things. He is ageless and his body is indestructible; he can jump much higher than you would think; if you tell him to mark a player out of a game, he will do so with aplomb; he has an ongoing and active bromance with Chad Marshall, and he's not even jealous that Chad plays next to Brad Evans so much these days.

But Tuesday, May 19, he will be Zach Scott: Fund Raiser. The West Seattle YMCA is raising money for an expansion, and Scott and Seahawks kicker (and honorary Sounder*) Hauschka will be in attendance, chatting with fans and signing gear. This won't be some mob scene where you have to fight to get within arms reach of your favorite Sounder, though - attendance is limited to just 50 "Superfans" who should have ample opportunity to ask Zach questions like: "Would you rather walk quickly away from a ref-sized yellow card or 50 yellow-card-sized refs?"

There will also be an auction for signed Seahawks and Sounders gear as well as drinks and snacks. Also, there will be Zach Scott. This can't be stressed enough.

Of course you want to go, and tickets are available here through Eventbrite (only a few remain). This experience is yours for just $100. That's less than 33 cents for every time Scott has stepped on the field for the Sounders. VIP tickets are also available for $250, but it's unclear what that status gets you.

The fundraiser and auction will be held next Tuesday at The Hall at Fauntleroy.
