MLS Weekend, How to watch MLS in Week 12. TV and streaming listings

The last of five consecutive Friday night MLS doubleheaders kickoff the weekend while NYCFC's manager and many players make an emotional return to Real Salt Lake. National TV Listings, Three Big Storylines and the Sounders Point of View. Here is your Week 12 Gamethread

Does Jason Kreis look older than when he left Real Salt Lake?

Three Big Storylines:

  1. Jason Kreis leads New York City FC in his return to Real Salt Lake for the first time since leaving them for the upstart expansion team.  Chris Wingert played for eight seasons with RSL but is now one of six players with NYCFC that at one point played for RSL.  What would be a blip on the radar for two teams that are below the red line and need a result is going to be an emotional return for many players and staff.
  2. Due to a scheduling quirk Supporter's Shield leaders, FC Dallas, are embarking on a five game 42 day road trip.  Grounds crews are taking advantage and resodding the entire field for the first time. FC Dallas start that road trip in Montreal where the Impact are coming off their first league win of the season when they took out some frustrations on RSL in a 4-1 win.
  3. Friday night is the fifth of five doubleheaders in a row on Univision Deportes.  The Columbus Crew host the Chicago Fire to open the night while the LA Galaxy finish the night hosting a suddenly hot Houston Dynamo that enter the night on the back of two consecutive wins.  Giles Barnes is in the form of his life for the Dynamo, just in time to head out for Jamaica who are playing in both the Copa America in Chile and the Gold Cup in the USA.  The Galaxy were humiliated in Orlando last weekend 4-0 and are on a six match winless streak.

From a Sounders Point of View:

The Sounders upcoming midweek opponent, Colorado Rapids, host last weekends opponent the Vancouver Whitecaps (6 PM, MLS Live) in a match that Sounders fans will be cheering for their Rockie Mountain friends.  Toronto FC will be without Jozy Altidore when they host the Portland Timbers (2 PM Saturday, MLS Live and Root Sports in the Northwest) and Sounders fans are cheering for Michael Bradley, Sebastian Giovinco and company to win one for Jozy.
