Scott, Gonzalez, Roldan step into starting lineup against the Rapids

Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

We're looking at a bit of a different lineup tonight for the Sounders, with Chad Marshall and Gonzalo Pineda being held out for injuries, and Leo Gonzalez getting his first start in eight games.

Zach Scott slots in at center back next to captain Brad Evans, and Gonzalez returns to his familiar left back role. This may not be a first-choice defense, but the two veterans should be quite comfortable.

Replacing the role of Neagle in the midfield is the job of Cristian Roldan, who has been playing well in his sub appearances and will face a big test tonight at home. Rose gets the start in the middle of the park.

Bench: Troy Perkins, Dylan Remick, Chad Marshall, Micheal Azira, Aaron Kovar, Lamar Neagle, Chad Barrett.

And the lineup for the Rapids:
