The Seattle Sounders take on the Philadelphia Union tonight minus Clint Dempsey, Obafemi Martins, and Ozzie Alonso. The Union will be motivated to prove themselves coming off of a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of the LA Galaxy last weekend.

The USSDA is hosting their annual showcase event coupled with the U16 & U18 academy playoffs in Westfield, Indiana. The Seattle Sounders U14 academy team had a successful showcase winning 3 games against Colorado Rapids, Toronto FC, and D.C. United. The Sounders U16 and U18 academy teams both lost Tuesday, making advancement in the playoffs more difficult.

The pictures prove it; Andrea Pirlo is in New York and likes the Yankees. Now is he there discussing a contract with NYCFC?  No one can say, what we can say for certain is if Pirlo does sign Friday that Frank Lampard, Andrea Pirlo, and David Villa will bring 106 years of combined experience, oops I meant age.

The USWNT faces China Friday in the World Cup quarterfinals sans Megan Rapinoe and Lauren Holiday. The worry amongst the stars and stripes faithful is their absence could be very problematic. Fear not; we have 5 ways the U. S. can replace their suspended stars and still be successful.
