Sounders vs Portland Timbers live TV: Streaming, schedule and how to watch

Sigi Schmid takes his reduced lineup down to Portland today. His Seattle Sounders FC look to maintain pace at the top of the Western Conference while keeping the Timbers from the Cascadia Cup. A win under these circumstances would be a show of strength and determination in front of an international TV audience. A loss is probably the expectation.

The Portland Timbers are what they are - a simple team that plays long balls and counters. Seattle's defense should be able to handle that as the midfield, backline and Stefan Frei are still strong. The big key will be for one or more of Lamar Neagle, Marco Pappa and the youngsters to start scoring.

In the end, it's just Portland. It's not like Seattle is facing a team with a history of winning.
