The Women's World Cup kicks off this weekend in Canada. Since we are 1-0 in World Cup viewing parties, Sounder at Heart will be hosting its second-ever World Cup viewing party.

The party will be held Monday, June 8 at Capitol Cider (our U.S. v. Ghana party was held here last year). We'll be watching the United States Women's National Team take on a tough Australia squad at 4:30 p.m. PT, their first match in the Group Stage. People will start gathering around 3:30 p.m, so come early to hear pre-game analysis and get some food and drinks before the crowd arrives.

The viewing party will take place in the downstairs pub, which has a 92-inch projection screen as well as other flat-screens behind the bar that will make it easy to watch the match, no matter where you sit. The downstairs holds about 150 people, and there will be food and lots of great ciders to choose from. Since it is a pub, this event is for those age 21 and over.

Can Seattle Reign stars Hope Solo and Megan Rapinoe help the USWNT earn 3 points in their first World Cup match? Will the USWNT find the creative spark they need to go all the way? Find out with us next Monday!

We hope to see you there. (We are trying to get an idea for how many people will show up. If you could RSVP on our Facebook Event page, we would certainly appreciate it).
