Clint Dempsey did not, in fact, travel with the Seattle Sounders on their road trip to play Sporting Kansas City. But he's got a pretty good excuse: The birth of his fourth child.

Clayton is the Clint and Bethany Dempsey's second son, joining Jackson. Their daughters are named Elyse and Sophia.
