The result feels worse after twenty-four hours. That was the lowly Chicago Fire and the depleted Sounders (down six starters) nearly stole a road point, nearly won. A single play defined a soccer game, as long as you ignore that the fire can't finish. Then again, the Seattle Sounders can't even start.
Offense is clearly lacking. The defense is alright. Seattle, without two DPs, two non-DP Gold Cup players, their potential keeper of year and Taco Man Friberg held serve with the worst team in the league for 91 minutes. That's noble.
There's one minor problem. The game lasted 95 minutes. Chicago won those final four minutes. They might have only won a single minute.
Rate the players. You know the scale.
