Sounders vs Montreal Impact, 2015 recap: July ends with another loss

Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

Hi, July sucked. It's over. The Montreal Impacted ended the Seattle Sounders horrible, terrible, no good, very bad month with another 1-nil loss. Laurent Ciman scored the winning goal in the 88th minute. That set-play goal was off of - Montreal's 14th shot of the game. Seattle Sounders had three shots  - none on goal.

There were a few lineup changes. Chad Barrett started at center forward, with Neagle and Roldan flanking him. It was more a 4213 with Andy Rose in the middle. This didn't create more chances. It did limit decent opportunities for Montreal.

If it wasn't for the strong performance by Troy Perkins and the midfield the Impact would probably have won by two or three goals.

The Sounders move to 1-6-0 in the without Clinfemi era. Most of those games were just 0-1 losses. The defense has been fine. But, no matter the selection at forward, it hasn't worked. It's been a complete failure.
