Megan Rapinoe does all the things, including fly with the Blue Angels

This Wednesday, it's time to enter the Highway to the Rapinoe Zone.

Seattle Reign fans already knew how awesome Megan Rapinoe was — both on and off the field. We've been lucky enough to see her play here for the last three years. But after her performance in the World Cup, Rapinoe captured the hearts of fans across the country.

We'll have another opportunity to witness the awesomeness of Rapinoe this Wednesday, July 29, when she flies with the Blue Angels during SeaFair.

Rapinoe will get strapped into the F/A 18 jet at 9:30 a.m. PT. Move over Maverick and Goose, it's time for the "Highway to the Rapinoe Zone."

"I've been watching the Blue Angels since I was a kid, growing up in Redding, California. I am beyond giddy to be able to fly with them," the USWNT and Seattle Reign star said.

Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann, who is a private pilot, had the opportunity to fly with the Blue Angels last year. He couldn't quite keep up with the 7.6 G's and went to sleep for a brief period of time.

We'll see if Rapinoe can take the G-force better than Hahnemann. She's certainly proved that she can do just about anything, from winning a World Cup to throwing a pretty awesome first pitch at the Mariners game.

Don't forget: you can catch the World Cup champion on the field today, as the Reign take on the Portland Thorns at 4:00 p.m.

If you want one more chance to hang with Rapinoe this week, stop by the Bellevue Microsoft Store on July 29.
