No matter your philosophical bent on All-Star games we can agree on one thing: DeAndre Yedlin is awesome. He'll be playing for Tottenham Hotspur in his second straight all-star match, this time for the evil empire MLS has brought in to beat. Whether you wanted our boys there or not, Clint Dempsey and Chad Marshall are two of the 30 MLS All-Stars. Obafemi Martins is the 3rd of the Sounders on the list, but one of the many injured.
Oba is joined by Robbie Keane, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Michael Bradley and Sebastian Giovinco on the too-injured-to-play in the All-Star Game list but there are certainly questions as to how seriously in. The rest of the squad is either A. a great choice or B. "how did they make it???" No matter how they got there, though, they have one job tonight and that is to beat Spurs, while not getting hurt.
Sigi is hoping that Deuce and Air Marshall play at most 45 minutes and I think that is a fair estimation of the time that they'll be on the field in this one. Watch for future Sounders target (in my dreams) Harry Kane to line up for the London side as well.
In the end there is going to be some of the best MLS players on the field and some great Premier League players as well, this one is well worth watching.
