Sounders at CD Olimpia, CONCACAF Champions League: A viewing guide

New, 98 comments

We've compiled a list of ways and places you can watch this hard-to-find match.

Fox is not making life easy for Seattle Sounders fans this week. Rather than placing Wednesday's CONCACAF Champions League match against Olimpia on one of their core channels, it is shunted off to Fox Soccer Plus. The easiest way the watch is if you have a satellite package, or non-Comcast cable. That station has the top two tiers of Scottish league play, Bundesliga, third tier UEFA Champions League matches and some CONCACAF Champions League. It also has rugby and other non-soccer action. If you get that, watching the game is easy. Turn on your box, flip to Fox Soccer Plus at 7 PM and enjoy.

If you have FoxSoccer2Go, a premium streaming service, you will be able to watch on your favorite device. They are currently offering a free seven-day trial. You'll likely have to give them credit card information and cancel before the seven days are up in order to avoid any charges, but that's an option.

The Sounders will also be broadcasting the match over the radio on 97.3 KIRO FM, with Ross Fletcher and Kasey Keller on the call.

Galavision, for those of you with Spanish language packages, will be showing a replay at 9:30 PM.

If you do not have any of these things, here are some locations showing the match live.

The NINETY - Seattle Sounders FC are hosting a party there. It was open to Alliance members and is full.

Fuel - The home game home to ECS will have the match for those in Pioneer Square.

The Atlantic Crossing - The Emerald City Supporters official away bar is convenient for those in the Roosevelt area.

The George & Dragon - Seattle's classic soccer bar will of course be showing the match. It's in Fremont, if you forgot.

The Market Arms - Ballard's spacious Brit themed pub by the G&D family is a fine visit.

Beveridge Place - More than just a beer bar, this place loves the Sounders and is showing the match. Head there if you are in or around West Seattle.

Magnolia Village Pub - This Cougar bar (as in WSU) is showing the match if you are in the Magnolia or Queen Anne areas.

The Bridge: Another West Seattle spot. Looks like they have some good food, too.

Three Magnets - The Olympia brewery regularly shows Sounders games, as well as other soccer action.

Doyle's Public House - Another Brit themed pub, this Tacoma treasure is a frequent stop for local Sounders supporters.

Sounder at Heart will also be doing our best to keep you updated. You can follow our twitter account and check the gamethread.

This post will be updated as other venues return messages.
