Sounders reportedly pursuing Panamanian Mid Jeanine

The young midfielder is listed as a central defender, and could join the club in 2016

If rumors are to be believed, the Seattle Sounders are looking to sign their second Panamanian of 2015 in San Francisco F.C.'s Pedro Jeanine. First brought to our attention through this fanpost, the 21-year-old Jeanine has been a consistent starter for San Francisco and has played every minute of their two CONCACAF Champions League games this year. His resume also features an international cap against Peru in 2014.

As SSFC_Rumors points out, Jeanine was on the bench for San Francisco during their last Champions League run in 2011. They visited Seattle that year, winning the first leg before falling to the Sounders in a 2-1 aggregate. The picture above shows Jeanine representing Panama in the Pan Am Games last month.

The transfer window has closed, meaning any move made for Jeanine would be for 2016. This rumor comes mere weeks after the Sounders completed their complicated transfer of Panamanian center back Román Torres.

San Francisco F.C. has a Jeanine highlight video up on YouTube from December.

You can also watch highlights from San Francisco's home and away legs against Quaretaro.

Panama is the new Colombia.
