Major Link Soccer: The “Group of Death” kicks off in Vancouver

The Seattle Sounders head to Vancouver to start their CCL run against their Cascadia rivals. The Sounders are hoping to right the ship in BC Place.

The Seattle Sounders head north tonight to take on the Vancouver Whitecaps in the CCL's "Group of Death".  It's the second match in five days for the two teams and tempers are high.

It has been a fun filled 24 hours for Seattle Sounders fans; first we had King5 reporting on the Monday evening news that the Sounders would sign two international players by the close of the transfer window Thursday.

Tuesday morning at 8:53am the Seattle Sounders announce the signing of Austrian International Andreas Ivanschitz, then  about 10am we get the word via twitter that Paraguayan International Nelson Valdez is on a jet plane bound for Seattle and looks to be the other reported signing.

If all that wasn't enough for Seattle Sounder fans, S2 got in the mix and announced a signing of their own!

The only other thing happening Tuesday was POOP Smack talk from Seattle's little brother. #MakesSense

Major League Soccer

One comes in and one has to go, and for the Montreal Impact it meant after signing Didier Drogba someone had to make room on the roster. Jack McInerney was that someone and he was traded Tuesday to the Columbus Crew.

The 2015-16 CONCACAF Champions League kicked off Tuesday night with Real Salt Lake besting CSD Municipal on an early goal by Joao Plata.

U.S. Soccer

It looks like at least one American will be moving in Europe during the transfer window. AZ Alkmaar has agreed to terms with Weder Bremen for American Aron Johannsson. Johannsson is set for a medical and signature in the next few days.

Another American that is getting looks is Emerson Hyndman; Hyndman is entering the final year of his contract with Fulham. The U20 national teamer is now drawing interest from teams in the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga and Eredivisie. However at this tiem, no team has been able to reach Fulham's valuation of the 19-year-old midfielder.

Winning a World Cup does wonders for contract negotiations just ask Jill Ellis. The USWNT manager has agreed to a new multiyear contract and presumably a nice pay raise.

World Soccer

With the English Premier League kicking off this weekend there are many storylines to look for in the 2015-16 season. Who was the signing of the summer and will they still be at the end of the season?

Ajax knocked out of Champions League by Rapid Vienna, yes you read that correctly. A week ago no one would have believed it.

Goal of the week Nominees: Back Heel Golazo, Volley, and a Bike!
