Open Positions with Sounder at Heart

Over the past seven years (the Sounder at Heart birthday is August 28th, 2008) Sounder at Heart has continued to grow. It started with just me and has grown through many phases. Currently Sounder at Heart is at a phase where it needs a bit more help covering the news around Seattle soccer. We have a lot of people doing features and such, but we have also tried to combine that with original reporting and practice coverage. Due to work schedules for myself and Jeremiah (the closest people we have to full-time staff) we are looking for help.

Sounder at Heart is looking for a passionate fan of Seattle soccer who can help cover the news regarding the teams, but mostly the Sounders. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic about attending 1-2 practices a week and embrace the opportunity to generate stories from original interviews and press conferences. We'd also like this person to help man the news desk for SaH a day or two a week. This role is paid a small amount and will ideally follow in the steps of writers who have leveraged Sounder at Heart into both full time and freelance work covering sports. Sounder at Heart is also looking for one or two writers to help with Major Link Soccer and other general coverage of the sport. This voluntary position is a fine way to connect with fans and learn more about MLS and Seattle area soccer. Send notification of interest to Dave and Jeremiah.
