While the Mariners lost two out of three, Seahawks dropped their season opener and Storm earned the highest chance at the top WNBA draft pick, the Seattle Reign earned a ticket to the NWSL Final in Portland. And they did it in style, with three unanswered second-half goals against the fourth seed Washington Spirit. The team will get about two weeks to train before traveling down the Fury Road for vengeance against FC Kansas City.
Head Coach Laura Harvey is now in her second-straight NWSL Final, playing the same team who bumped her out last year. Players credit her success in part to her unique demeanor, one that may have National Team vacancies calling soon.
