Tuesdays training session at Starfire was a little different for the Seattle Sounders, it was led by Brian Schmetzer instead o Sounders Head Coach Sigi Schmid. Schmid remains out from an undisclosed health issue.

The next game is on the road Saturday in San Jose, fighting as a team will get better when Roman Torres and Marco Pappa join the fold, now it's just taking the next step into the playoffs!

U.S. Soccer

Hulk smashed, Brazil danced, and the USA were outmatched. Tuesday night Brazil demonstrated why they have five Men's World Cup titles and the US doesn't.  Brazil put on a show against the USMNT at Foxborough, but the US had the last laugh when Danny Williams hit a thirty yard bullet.

Believe it or not the US beat Brazil at the "Jogo Bonito" once. Former Seattle Sounder Kasey Keller shares his story about that game.

USMNT player Alejandro Bedoya tried to move stateside over the summer, but his current team Nantes said "not so fast." Bedoya instead signed a new deal that keeps him France until 2019.

World Soccer

Wayne Rooney overtook Sir Bobby Charlton as the leading goalscorer for England. Rooney scored from the spot Tuesday night for his 50th international goal, a goal that helped England beat Switzerland 2-0 and ensured England stayed a perfect eight for eight in Euro 2016 qualifying.

Tuesday night saw Austria grab their share of the glory by qualifying for Euro 2016 with a 4-1 victory over Sweden. The Sounders' own Andreas Ivanschitz could possibly be playing in Europe next summer.
