In the first two rounds the Sounders traded their top pick for Joevin Jones and then drafted Tony Alfaro and Zach Mathers in round two. The Rave Green have two more picks in the final rounds, unless they trade for more, with one per round.
In round three the Sounders pick 13th, and in the fourth round they'll pick 15th overall. My original prediction of James Moberg to the Sounders is still possible, as he fell out of the top rounds in a fairly stunning fashion. Besides that, there are still some great seniors and internationals that fell through to the third and fourth rounds. The Sounders will not find a starter in these, but they will find great developing players, depth, and S2 starters.
Now the bad news: MLS does not put on a big show for rounds 3 and 4 like they did during the first two rounds. This one will not be broadcast via live stream since it is being done via an MLS conference call starting at 11 a.m. Check out the MLS Draft Tracker or follow on here with the rest of the Sounder at Heart community. We'll keep you updated about anything the Rave Green is doing during the final rounds of this exciting draft.
