Tab Ramos is working to discover which Americans will help the United States qualify for the U20 World Cup in South Korea in 2017. Four CONCACAF teams will qualify for the tournament. Young Seattle Sounders forward Victor Mansaray is one of 36 invitees to the first camp of 2016.
Those 36 players will play two double headers. On January 8th they take on "local all-star team CASA" and NPSL side Weston FC. That will give the collection of 16 college players, 15 MLS HGPs, 3 current USDAA talents, 1 from Manchester United and 1 from AFC Fiorentia.
The second double-header will be on January 12th. The opponents are still to be determined.
Mansaray is regularly called to this level of competition. Sounders Academy players Nick Hinds and Pablo Pelaez also have US U20 calls, but are not in this camp.
This camp ends in time for Mansaray to be a full participant inSeattle Sounders preseason.
