Over the past three years a handful of passionate Sounders fans turned their love of the sport into a fundraising powerhouse. Their passion expresses itself most directly with their annual EA Sports FIFA tournament at The Berliner Pub in Renton. In 2016 their goal is to have 128 participants (last year was about 80) playing and dozens more attending the event with raffle and silent auction. The event starts at 11 AM on January 24th.
Even though Lamar Neagle is now with D.C. United the funds raised at the 2016 SonarFeed FIFA Tournament will support the Lamar Neagle Foundation.
The keynote guest for the event is Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei. If you follow him on social media you know that his love of gaming is on par with his love of soccer.
Sounder at Heart is joining Constellation & Co. and the Berliner Pub in presenting the event with a goal of pushing the funds raised past the $13,000+ raised in 2015.
In addition to the asked donation of $20 for the tournament (signups are here) there are some amazing auction and raffle items, including Neagle's game-worn HALO 5 kit.

Sounder at Heart will have some of the "Enemy's Goal Is Down" scarves in the raffle. But our biggest contribution will be the opportunity to "Run Sounder at Heart for a Day." You will have the opportunity to manage the staff, directing us to cover specific angles, write a story or two and get inside the operations of the site.
In short, this is a great way to continue to build up for the season. You'll hang out with hundreds of Sounders fans, play some video games, raise money for great causes in South King County and the 253 and get to hang with Stefan Frei.
I expect to see you there on January 24th any time between 11 AM and when we shut the place down.
Lamar's going away party is the 19th at 7 PM, also at The Berliner Pub.
