Seattle sits in a familiar position going into the last game of the season, changes in the US Mexico rivalry, World Cup expansion, and Goals of the Week.

It feels like deja-vu for the Seattle Sounders as they head into the last game of the season against Real Salt Lake needing a win to make the playoffs. No surprise who will be officiating the game Sunday at CenturyLink, everybody's favorite.

Seattle Sounder Goalkeeper Stefan Frei has been nominated for "Save of the Week"; go vote and make him a winner!

Seattle Sounder academy product Azriel Gonzalez has been called in to represent the U.S. U-16 Boys national team in the Val-de-Marne Tournament in France.

Sources in Portland and with U.S. Soccer say that Nagbe had conversations with Klinsmann and the national team staff, and those sources now think it’s possible that Nagbe may not get called back in to the team moving forward.

Changes could be coming in the US Mexico rivalry, but with that said could a new city, an Emerald City, step up and become the new home for the Red White and Blue?

Timmy Chandler has reportedly drawn the interest of Roma, who believe they can sign the U.S. Men's National Team fullback for a relatively small transfer fee due to his contract status.

Coming out of last week’s FIFA Council meeting, the word is that World Cup expansion for the 2026 competition is "definitely" happening. The question is whether the final decision in January will expand the World Cup to 40 or 48 teams.

Starting the playoffs with a home game is priority one for the Seattle Sounders, but with just two points separating fourth-place RSL from seventh-place Portland, the permutations are vast.

If you missed it over the weekend Didier Drogba when told by his coach that he wouldn't be starting eleven refused to be in the 18. Now Drogba is willing to accept any role for the remainder of the season, this of course comes after a meeting with management and fine by the club.

Two former Sounders make USL All League team for 2016.  Aaron Long and Sean Okoli take home USL honors, both players had outstanding seasons for their respected clubs.
