S2 announced on Wednesday that they will be holding an open tryout in North Carolina from November 17-19 with their official youth partner Twin City Youth Soccer Association. This will be held in addition to clinics and coaching workshops.

"We had success at our open tryouts last year and we look forward to eyeing potential new players in the coming months," said Head Scout Kurt Schmid said via press release. "We're hopeful that we will be able to integrate young talent into our system."

Players will be assessed by members of the Sounders, S2, and their Academy technical staff. This includes S2 head coach Ezra Hendrickson and S2 assistant coach Junior Gonzalez.

All tryouts are open to male soccer players ages 16 and older and there is a registration fee of $100 for each player. The deadline to register for the North Carolina tryout is November 16th. Check in and registration in North Carolina will begin at 4:30 pm ET on Thursday, November 17th and will resume on Friday at 3:30 pm ET.

More than 3,000 players make up Twin City Youth Association in the Winston-Salem/Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. The club is part of the North Carolina Fusion which is a partnership of Greensboro United Soccer Association as part of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.

"We are excited to once again build on our relationship with Twin City next month," said Sounders FC Academy Director Marc Nicholls. "There is a lot of talent and passion for soccer in this region that we intend to use as a foundational aspect of our growing academy pool."

There will also be additional tryouts set to take place in Seattle and Las Vegas but the dates have yet to be finalized.
