The MLS playoffs kick off tonight with Toronto FC vs. Philadelphia Union in the east, and LA Galaxy vs. Real Salt Lake in the west.

The MLS Goal of the Year has been awarded every year since the inaugural season 1996. You can watch every winner from 1996-2015 here. You can go and vote for 2016 Goal of the Year here.

Voting closed Monday for the MLS individual awards and, without knowing who the three finalists will be in each category, here's how the pundits see the races shaping up.

After four days of training and matches in front of more than 30 professional scouts, the 56 finalists of the Sueño Alianza National Showcase were crowned. The finalists received invitations from different teams including the Seattle Sounders, in hopes of reaching their dreams of becoming professional soccer players.

The regular season is over and, for the third straight year, MLS set a league record in overall attendance. Here's a look at every teams average attendance for 2016.

Open to selling Wayne Rooney? Yes, Jose Mourinho is open to selling Wayne Rooney. Lets hope the MLS is open to buying!

Things are changing in the lower leagues of American soccer. The Tampa Bay Rowdies and Ottawa Fury FC have officially joined the USL ahead of the 2017 season.

From first to worst, no one could have predicted the demise that has fallen upon the Portland Timbers. Not winning a road game all season, crashing out of the Champions League, and missing out on the playoffs. A call for help was needed, but that went wrong as well.

Seattle

Here is everything you need to know about the Seattle Sounders and Sporting Kansas City match-up tomorrow night at CenturyLink Field. Bring the fire, Seattle!!

If you're looking for some fun this weekend, the Tacoma Stars are back this Saturday night as they host Soles De Senora at the Kent ShoWare Center at 6:05 PM in Major Arena Soccer League action. This is the home opener for the Stars.

If you grew up playing soccer in Seattle during the 70's, 80's, or 90's then you're very familiar with Denzil Miskell. Denzil was the owner of Sports Specialties (everyone's favorite 2 for 1 soccer shoe special) in Belltown. Denzil passed away recently along with another local member of the soccer community Alex Sigman.

The Seattle Sounders are just starting the playoffs, but that doesn't stop them from planning the 2017 preseason. Anyone up for a trip back east?

U.S. Soccer

Big chance for the USMNT youngster Julian Green, as it has been reported in Germany that Green will start for Bayern Munich in the DFB Cup.

Serie A giants AC Milan are considering a bid for U.S. men's national team captain, Michael Bradley. Milan will be hard pressed to lure Bradley if they can't match his $6.5 million a year salary.

World Soccer

What's so nice about Nice and why are they the team to beat in France?  Just ask the guy who  coined the phrase "why always me", or his teammates who all have something to prove.

It takes a lot of skill to be offered an invitation to play at Bayern Munich's training complex, but football freestyler Fabian Duro has enough to make the most decorated of professionals turn green with envy.

The Golden Boy is an annual award handed out to the best player in Europe under the age of 21 and good indicator of future success, but not always. Let's take a look at every winner since it's inception.

Goals of the Week: Mistake gone right, Prince gets his crown, and going solo isn't so bad.
