Throughout the year, Nelson Valdez’s teammates and coaches have stood behind him. Proclaiming that it was just a matter of time until he scored. But with each successive game, the pressure only seemed to build.

The release came on Thursday in a massive moment. His celebration was about what you’d expect:

You can almost feel the weight coming off his shoulders.

It’s not entirely clear that Valdez is crying here, but he’s definitely feeling emotions. A lot of emotions. And his teammates clearly feel them with him. What an absolutely fantastic moment.
