Seattle Sounders vs FC Dallas, MLS Cup Playoffs: Game time, TV schedule and live stream for leg one

FOX Sports 1 is covering the match starting at 6:30 PM. Kickoff will be closer to 6:40 PM. Arrive early. Be heard.

This is leg one of the two-leg aggregate goal away goals tie-breaking Western Conference Semifinals. Winning is best for the Seattle Sounders. Keeping FC Dallas off the scoreboard is a close second. It is the fourth time the two teams will play in 2016 and the sixth time they’ve played in just a year. Sunday’s game is the first two-leg series with Brian Schmetzer in charge. Probably the greatest flaw that Sigi Schmid had was playing a more passive style in the MLS Playoffs than he did during the regular season or even in the Champions League.

Tonight, Schmetzer should start off on the same foot his Sounders always do. They go forward, searching for a goal. Stout and aggressive goal-prevention is another hallmark, but moreso is his desire to declare that Seattle pursues victory at home and on the road. They stay proactive, forcing others to adapt. If they do that to a Dallas side dampened by injury and midseason sale victory is in sight.

Ricardo Salazar is the center referee. Clint Dempsey is still out due to a heart issue. Dylan Remick will miss today’s match with a concussion. Andreas Ivanschitz is out with a knee sprain. Oalex Anderson and Dylan Remick are listed as questionable. FC Dallas will be without Zach Loyd and Mauro Diaz. Osvaldo Alonso will miss his next playoff game if he earns a yellow card tonight.
