You may see some pumpkins on the FS1 broadcasts today with various MLS playoff teams’ crests carved into them. These were carved by yours truly! That’s right, my fan art talents don’t stop with watercolors. Here’s how it all went down.
On Thursday night after the Sounders beat SKC fair and square, Alexi Lalas sent out this tweet:
My @FS1 bosses have asked if there are any Seattle-based pumpkin carvers who can carve @MLS logos of the teams. Please contact @ipswichtwn.

Well I just so happen to be a Seattle-based pumpkin carver who can carve MLS logos! Who knew such a perfect call for submissions would ever occur? I submitted my portfolio for review:

Clearly I knocked their socks off, because next thing I know I’m chatting with the producer about the four teams they’re covering and arranging a pick-up time for Sunday morning so they can get them prepped for the FS1 broadcast.
