Seattle Sounders vs. Vancouver Whitecaps: Community player ratings form

Remember when all we had to rate was losses? Frustrating, stupid losses. That time will come again, but for now, lets "enjoy this" as Coach Schmetzer directs his players to do after a good performance.

Despite a makeshift lineup being made more makeshift by the knocks to Andreas Ivanschitz and Alvaro Fernandez before and during the match, respectively, and despite going down a goal midway through the first half, this Sounders squad kept pushing and pushing until the victory was theirs. A four-match win streak looked unlikely heading up to Vancouver, yet here it is. So how did they get there?

Ozzie Alonso seemed to play every position at once, Cristian Roldan at times looked like a bowling ball with excellent dribbling skills, and the aging veteran Herculez Gomez shored up an empty position and played a major defensive role. Who else stood out?

Here's the scale:

(Substitutes can be left blank if the player did not play enough to judge)

1 - not a pro (USL/NASL/MLS) quality performance
4 - average USL starter
6 - average MLS starter
9 - MLS All Star
10 - MLS MVP-quality performance
