Nicolas Lodeiro and the star-studded Uruguay squad host Venezuela in match day nine of CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying. Currently 1st (5-2-1 +11) La Celeste should make quick work of bottom feeding, and mostly home based, Venezuela (0-6-2 -12).

Stars Luis Suárez (Barcelona) and Edison Cavani (PSG) will play up top with Lodeiro likely in a wide creative role as Egidio Arévalo Ríos (Chiapas) with either Mathías Corujo (San Lorenzo) or Matías Vecino (Fiorentino) partnered in the middle. Coach Óscar Tabárez could mix things up since this will be the easiest match of qualifying.

Venezuela’s roster is mostly based in their home country, but the defense features La Liga talents and the forwards play in the Italy, Turkey, Switzerland and England (Salomón Rondón, West Brom). Their mostly young, local midfield may get the start as their chances of advancing to World Cup 2018 Russia look bleak.
