Alliance End of Year Business Meeting
Posted by Sounder at Heart on Wednesday, November 2, 2016
Seattle Sounders FC is teasing Wednesday’s 2016 Alliance Annual Business Meeting (7 PM, West Field Plaza CenturyLink Field) with a “Special Announcement.” There will also be presentations by team ownership, the Alliance Council and COO Bart Wiley.
The Q&A, managed by the Council, should not have the annual questions about a grass field, a winter schedule, promotion/relegation, nor a soccer-specific stadium. They will attempt to focus on new and current issues.
Controlling owner Adrian Hanauer, Joe Roth, Drew Carey, and President of Soccer and General Manager Garth Lagerwey are all expected to be present. Fans arriving as early as 5:30 PM will be able to tour the locker rooms and shop at the Pro Shop. Light refreshments will be available for purchase.
Topics that are expected to be addressed are the attempt to update the Constitution, the status of S2’s rumored move to Tacoma and/or its future, the team’s 10-year plan (hinted at in a recent Seattle Times story), the club’s broadcast arrangements and other business operations will be the focus.
Sounder at Heart will attempt to stream the meeting via our Facebook page. We will also update major announcements on the Twitter page, in comments here and with stories as necessary.
Dave, Spenser and Jeremiah are all present at the event.
