There might not be a person on the planet who has given more of his life to the Seattle Sounders than head coach Brian Schmetzer. That’s probably not news, though.
But we’re reminded just how much he loves this club on a regular basis, and the latest came during Sunday’s press conference following the Sounders’ first-ever MLS Cup final berth.

What’s the line that gets him emotional? When he starts talking about the fans. This is a coach who’s been a proud member of ECS basically as long as they’ve been around. This is a coach who will look fans in the eye and thank them for their support. This is a coach who makes you want to root for him.
You can’t fake this stuff. You don’t want to fake this stuff. Brian Schmetzer is as real as they get and we couldn’t possibly love him more than we already do.
