DeAndre Yedlin seems to be getting along just fine at Newcastle. After joining the Toons a bit late, Yedlin is now starting regularly. But he’s not just starting, Yedlin is proving a key component as Newcastle sits atop the Championship, six points clear of their closest competitors.
Yedlin’s latest contribution came in a 2-1 win over Cardiff City, a slick assist that proved to be the game-winner.
THE WINNER: Great play by @yedlinny and a fine finish by Yoan Gouffran! #NUFC pic.twitter.com/IWuLswtZYu

This was Yedlin’s second assist of the season, to go along with his first English goal. He’s now logged 488 Championship minutes and has started each of Newcastle’s last four matches, all wins.
There was reason to doubt whether or not moving to the Championship was a good move for Yedlin, but so far it’s proving to be very smart. This time next year, the 23-year-old could very well be an established starter in the Premier League.
