UPDATE: Jordan Morris was called into the USMNT and Oniel Fisher and Damion Lowe were named to Jamaica’s team.
MLS smartly decided to honor the pair international dates that fall in the middle of their playoffs. If the Seattle Sounders are able to advance past FC Dallas on Sunday, they’ll be particularly thankful.
Even before all the rosters for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers have been announced, four Sounders have already been called in. Nicolas Lodeiro will join Uruguay, Joevin Jones will be with Trinidad and Tobago, Roman Torres has been called in to Panama, and Nelson Valdez has received his first call-up to Paraguay since this summer’s Copa America. All three will be playing a pair of games.
It’s also entirely possible that Jordan Morris will be named to the United States national team when their roster is announced later today.
The good news is that the latest any of them play is on Nov. 15, meaning they’ll have at least a week to recover before the Sounders play again.
