Former Seattle Sounders Designated Player Freddie Ljungberg was on hand when MLS and Arsenal announced that the famed English team would be featured in All Star Game festivities this year. The July 28th match will be the Gunners first visit to the US in the MLS era.
The two organizations put together a cute little video feature their stars, including shared star Thierry Henry.
Ljungberg is not in the video, but was in California for the press conference. Freddie was the Captain of the 2009 MLS All Stars. That year he was also in the MLS Best XI. In 2010 Seattle sent him to Chicago.
ESPN will carry the July 28th match. The 6 PM Pacific time should get a strong audience.
