Former General Secretary of UEFA Gianni Infantino was elected FIFA's new president following a lengthy voting process Friday morning. Infantino was a front-runner leading up to today, and has made promises to further clean up FIFA's image, including an early commitment to meeting up with human rights groups.

His election came with full support from the U.S. Soccer Federation, the key domino in a massive shift of support across the America's and European Federations.
