The odds are definitely stacked against the Seattle Sounders. They enter the the second leg of their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal against Club America tied 2-2. In order to advance, they'll not only have to win, score at least three goals in a tie or outlast America in overtime or penalties, but they'll need to do it at nearly 7,500 feet. History tells us that this is nearly impossible, as MLS teams simply do not overcome these odds against Liga MX opponents.
That won't stop us from watching, of course, and we'd love it if you joined us. We'll be hosting a viewing party at the recently opened Queen Anne Beerhall in Lower Queen Anne/Seattle Center. We're told the venue is all ages and it looks like a pretty great place to catch a game. We'd very much appreciate it if you RSVP'd.
Time: The game kicks off at 5 p.m., but we'll try to get there closer to 4 p.m.
Where: Queen Anne Beerhall, 203 W Thomas St, Seattle, Washington 98119
Cost: The event is free
Family friendly: Yes! All ages are welcome
