Three Big Storylines:
- Jordan Morris came on in the 75th minute against Iceland on Sunday. If USMNT manager Jurgen Klinsmann decides to make this a more youth focused team and start mostly the Olympic hopefuls, expect Morris to start and likely renew his promising partnership with Jerome Kiesewetter. Even if Klinsmann sticks with a veteran squad, expect to see Morris earlier than the 75th minute as Klinsmann has again committed to using all six available substitutions.
- The USMNT will need two new starters in the backline as Brad Evans and Michael Orozco have both returned to their clubs. Steve Birnbaum come on at halftime for Evans and had an assist and the game winning goal. That should be enough to earn the start.
- Tickets are available. A search of available tickets reveals that this will be a sparsely attended match. Friday night in LA and the USMNT just played in the same venue on Sunday against Iceland will do that to attendance. For what it's worth, it looks like the cheapest $22 endline tickets are sold out. Reported attendance for the Iceland match was 8,803.
From a Sounders Point of View:
Dear Jurgen,
Please return our Morris healthy. That is all.
Sincerely,
