With about two weeks left until the Seattle Sounders play their first competitive match of the year, it appears as though CenturyLink Field's new FieldTurf has been installed. There are likely still finishing touches to be made, but this photo appears to show a glistening new turf that's just about ready to use.

The tan elements you see are a layer of sand that gets put down in addition to the vulcanized rubber that has become a ubiquitous part of FieldTurf's product.
