Pelé will be auctioning off memorabilia from his storied career, which seems fairly normal until you learn he's including his World Cup medals and a special trophy made for him by FIFA and the Mexican government in the auction.

You may soon be watching matches on FuboTV, so you may as well get familiar now. The company has raised a further $15 million in funding for their $10 per month streaming service.

Guangzhou Evergrande FC is the most valuable club in the world, topping Real Madrid for the first time.

Sportswear brand Hummel has developed the kits for the Afghanistan national team, including a women's version with an included hijab, allowing players to be covered from head to foot as they play.

It may not be Beastquake, but Leicester City fans can claim their own seismograph-moving celebrations this Premier League season.

Jermaine Jones has landed in Colorado, and he can continue to put his feet up and dream about chest-bumping Mark Geiger for a few more weeks while he waits for his suspension to end. Meanwhile - how will Colorado fit him into the lineup once he does return to action?

Orlando SC's owners needs a bigger stadium than the one they got a deal with the local government for. No problem, they'll just build it themselves and pay back the taxpayers for what they had already thrown in, right? Well, VICE Sports has done some digging and maybe it's not such a great deal for the citizens after all.

Real Salt Lake has gained some Targeted Allocation Money by trading the rights of former academy player (and US youth international) Ben Spencer to Toronto FC.

Over at Dirty South Soccer, they're facing the honest truth that unless you're the Seattle Sounders, you probably don't make the playoffs in your first year as an expansion team these days. And that's OK.

As many in the great diaspora of Sounders fandom know, when you do get to attend a match to see your club play for the first time, it's pretty special. Here's what David Rohe from The Mane Land learned after attending his first Orlando City SC match.

Are you ready for MLS Hot Takes!? They are coming. Sure, we're only one week in, but here are some thoughts from FourFourTwo about what the first games of the year might mean.

Speaking of early indications, RSL Soapbox's MLS Power Ranking Averages are back, and here's where they stack up in week one. Someone ranked Sounders 20th. Someone ranked Sounders 2nd. Time to prove the second person right and then some.

Canadian players take up international spots on US-based MLS teams. Is that the way it should be?

Great news for DC United fans as their games will be much more widely available over the air in Virginia and Maryland metro areas near DC.

Here's the best of the tifo from the opening weekend of MLS action. I can't wait to see the best of the tifo from week two!

Sounders vs. RSL

Dueling previews! Don't forget to read our scouting report of Real Salt Lake, and then check out the Tactical Preview over at RSL Soapbox for the other perspective.

Other US Leagues

After being a surprise top choice in a poll of fans for where to host a friendly (this is not true), Timbers 2 will be playing a match in Boise, Idaho against Swope Park Rangers.

Is Tampa Bay planning a triumphant return to MLS? Bill Edwards, owner of the Tampa Bay Rowdies, has done his best to quash rumors about his interest in the top flight, but all indications are that a bid is in order.

Red Bulls II have signed former S2 midfielder Aaron Long.

Already sporting one of the great USL crests, the Rochester Rhinos will now have new ownership. David and Wendy Dworkin, who already have a stake in the Sacramento Kings, have taken over and are in the process of stadium renovations.

New NASL side Rayo OKC, despite sporting one of the not-great NASL crests, have signed Greek striker Georgios Samaras.
