With the revelation of lineups an hour before the game there is one surprise, and it's large. Tyler Miller is getting his second competitive start in the Seattle Sounders organization. This is his first game at the MLS level. Stefan Frei rested rather than practiced on Friday, but news then was that he was expected to start. Today, the Sounders said he had "elbow inflammation." Now, a 2015 draft pick with 11 pro starts (10 in Germany's lower divisions) will be Sigi Schmid's keeper.
Tyrone Mears and Erik Friberg both return to their starting roles, while Zach Scott is filling in for Brad Evans.

Seattle's youth movement in 2016 is now extending to its keepers, and not just outfield players.
