Sunny fined for somersault that earned Real Salt Lake the win

Kianz Froese is suspended for Vancouver's match against Sounders this weekend.

When the MLS Disciplinary Committee released their findings for the week they admit that Sunny flopped in the Osvaldo Alonso tackle. The Real Salt Lake midfielder will merely be fined, but the decision does make it clear he should have gotten a yellow.

Their decision does not say that Alonso did not foul on the play in question. That 85th minute foul started a sequence that resulted in the Olave game-winner. Sunny paying a few hundred dollars won't make up for the fact that the Sounders are now 0-2.

But there is good new. Kianz Froese of the Vancouver Whitecaps will not be in their 18 for Saturday's game against Seattle Sounders. His scissor tackled in the 74th minute was deemed as a red card offense.

Rapids player Gashi is also suspended this weekend. Higuain was fined. The Fire had a staff member fined and suspended a match as well.
