Arguing over who has the worst start to the season would be both long, and fruitless. Neither the Vancouver Whitecaps nor Seattle Sounders are doing well. Both have justifications, if not excuses, but the chance that one of them goes 0-3 is real. That they could do so against a fierce rival would make that pain hurt even more. With the international break next weekend, the ability to fix things would be reduced.
Seattle would then practice without a couple stars. Vancouver will have an even harder time as they are playing through the break and without stars.
This game is important, even if it is only match three.
