Mark Geiger gifts Whitecaps a second goal

Although this one was not as blatantly bad as the first penalty Mark Geiger awarded the Vancouver Whitecaps, it was perhaps more damaging and possibly less forgivable.

While Chad Marshall clearly takes out Blas Perez, what makes this so awful is that Perez doesn't even attempt to play the ball. While the ball is going to the left, Perez cuts in an attempt to draw contact. He does, predictably.

But this is nothing new from Perez and Geiger should be well aware of his shenanigans. Never the less, he points to the spot. Again. Marshall also got a yellow for his trouble.
